Resources Worth Investigating

WELCOME to Issue #315 of The Seedhead from Alex and Hannah at Dandelion Resourcing
- a weekly confidence booster to help you step into naturally supernatural discipleship and mission!

Things that we’re finding interesting or useful - and you might too!

Welcome to the October edition of our occasional series where we share resources that we’re finding useful. Some will have wide appeal, some will be more specialized, and some you’ll shake your head and smile at our strange interests!

APP: Pray as You Go

We love exploring different apps that help us encounter Jesus in our daily lives. In a previous newsletter, we shared the Lectio 365 app. Another favorite in our rotation is Pray as You Go, available on the web and as a free app for your phone.

Written by Jesuits, it has a slightly more formal feel than some other prayer apps and follows the rhythm of the church calendar, which helps anchor your prayer in the season of the year. Each session weaves together Scripture, music, and guided reflection, with intentional pauses of silence. We especially appreciate the room it makes for stillness, giving the Word space to settle in and speak.

If you’re looking for a gentle, steady way to begin or end your day with God, you should give it a try.

PODCAST: Bible Study Podcast

Looking for something new to listen to this month? We highly recommend the new Bible Study Podcast, hosted by our own pastor from Garden Church, Darren Rouanzoin, together with Angela Halili of Girls Gone Bible. Their goal is to help people fall in love with feasting on the Word of God.

The podcast launched at the beginning of this year and covers a wide range of topics with a variety of guests, including spiritual formation, the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts, soul care, and more. Whether you’re a longtime student of Scripture or just getting started, there’s something here to nourish you.

The episode linked below is part of a series titled “Spiritual Warfare: The Lies Shaping Your Life.” The series explores many aspects of spiritual warfare, pairing honest conversation with sound biblical teaching.

MUSIC: Worship and Nature Sounds Playlist

After learning about all the craziness happening in the world around us, you may need a moment to breathe. A great soundtrack for that is the playlist “Worship & Nature Sounds.” It blends ambient worship music with the sounds of creation, and its tagline says it well: “The beautiful sounds of God’s creation paired with ambient music for peace and relaxation.”

It makes a lovely backdrop for work, study, or devotional time. Alex loves to have it playing in the background. (Hannah, on the other hand, needs total quiet to concentrate, so this one’s not for everyone!)
