Resources Worth Investigating
WELCOME to Issue #264 of The Seedhead from Alex and Hannah at Dandelion Resourcing
- a weekly confidence booster to help you step into naturally supernatural discipleship and mission!
Things that we’re finding interesting or useful - and you might too!
Welcome to our occasional series where we share resources that we’re finding useful. Some will have wide appeal, some will be more specialized, and some you’ll shake your head and smile at our strange interests!
Website
Earlier this year we spoke at the Exponential church multiplication conference in Orlando FL. All the workshops, including the ones that we gave, are now available for free! This is such a great offer, and so generous. We’re not sure how long this will last, so get on there quick!
BTW, we’ll be speaking at the Exponential regional conferences this autumn - it’s not too late to sign up here! https://exponential.org/
And then we’ll be in Orlando again next March.

Book
Earlier this year I (Alex) read CS Lewis’ Mere Christianity. When I was at college in Durham England studying theology, my (American!) pastor was a brilliant teacher and a huge fan of Lewis (and Bonhoeffer, amongst many others). I began collecting Lewis’ writings, and so it was a great pleasure to go back into this book with a more seasoned faith and life experience. The origin of Mere Christianity is several series of radio talks, so inevitably some read better than others. However, in classic Lewis style, you’ll suddenly find yourself in a section that feels so familiar, to which you are heartily agreeing and yet being thoroughly shaken up by.
By the way, I’m still friends with that pastor, who spent many years as a university professor back here in the States before retiring - high impact relationships in the Kingdom are always worth pursuing.
Podcast & YouTube
Our home church, Garden Church here in Southern California, has just started a series preaching through the book of Acts. We loved this framing sermon from our Lead Pastor, Darren Rouanzoin, where he uses Acts 1:8 as an interpretive key for the book as a whole. “Witness is not primarily about arguing someone into faith but about embodying the reality of the risen Christ in public. A witness is a living demonstration that Jesus is alive.”

Song
Come And Behold is one of the tracks that’s been at the top of my playlist in recent months. It’s from Upperroom, which does such a good job of creating extended worship where you can be drawn deeper into intimate worship. https://open.spotify.com/track/68zA4FpdgfB1YSMg1mi0Ki?si=c0dee64d9c3b4101
App
Lectio 365 offers 8-10 minutes morning, midday, and evening guided prayer. Birthed out of the 24/7 prayer movement, founded by Pete Greig, we both love using this app. It bathes you in Scripture, calls you back to Jesus, and creates space for God encounters.
