Stop and DASH
WELCOME to Issue #243 of The Seedhead from Alex and Hannah at Dandelion Resourcing - a weekly confidence booster to help you step into naturally supernatural discipleship and mission!
How to create a smart boundary for prayer ministry
In this video, Alex shares a simple four letter acronym that is a great help: DASH (Demonic, Abuse, Sexuality, Holy Spirit prompt).
We teach team members to stop and look for support if they encounter something involving any of these four areas.
If you are in leadership in your church or ministry, this means that you need people who can be called upon to come coach, help, or intervene. You’ll also need to think through where you will refer people who need a deeper and longer type of support and healing ministry.
We learned this tool from our good friends Claire Russell, Duane Major, and the amazing team at South West Baptist Church in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Here’s the video:
Next Steps
What boundaries do you / your church put around prayer ministry team? Do they need updating? (Feel free to share this video if that will help)
Would you want to add anything to this list?
What training needs do your prayer ministry have in light of DASH?
We love prayer ministry! It is such an honor to pray with individuals - whether in weekend services, house churches, or with individuals. We believe that this is a work that every believer can be equipped to do, yet with wise safety rails around them.
If you have a different way of setting up these boundaries, please hit reply and let us know!
With love,
Alex + Hannah
